Real Drawbacks I Encountered

One major restriction is that not all routers support WPS or have a default PIN. Many modern devices disable WPS by default, so the app simply shows no compatible networks. Another drawback is the brute-force process can be slow on low-end phones, and sometimes it triggers router lockouts after a few failed attempts, forcing a reboot. I also noticed that the app does not work on Wi-Fi 6 routers because they often use updated security protocols that ignore legacy WPS requests.

Who Should Use This App

This tool is best for network administrators or curious users who want to verify their own setup. It is not a universal hacking solution, and I cannot stress enough that using it on someone else’s network without permission is unethical and potentially illegal. The app helped me discover that my old TP-Link router was still using a factory-default PIN, which I promptly changed.
